Now NOC no longer required for security forces to acquire land in Jammu&Kashmir

Almost a year after the abrogation of Article 370 from the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, the administration of the Union Territory has withdrawn a 1971 circular that required a no-objection certificate (NOC) from its home department for acquisition or requisition of land. Now, security forces including the Indian Army, CRPF and BSF would no longer need a NOC for the acquisition of land in the region.
