There’s No evidence that drinking tea can cure symptoms of COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

A viral post was shared repeatedly on WhatsApp and Facebook claims a Chinese doctor has discovered that drinking tea is effective in curing and relieving symptoms of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. According to Doctors, The claim is false. health experts say there is insufficient scientific evidence to show that drinking tea is effective in preventing or curing COVID-19 infections; as of March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said there is no cure for COVID-19.

Dr. Li Wenliang was an ophthalmologist working in the Chinese city of Wuhan who died in February, 2020 after contracting COVID-19. Before his death, he was one of a group of doctors in Wuhan who shared posts on social media warning of a SARS-like virus spreading in the city in December
